*Quick disclaimer, I was shocked to see this in my drafts from 2022, just going to share it as is. No more hoarding posts lol. Enjoy! *
Since it’s the holiday season, I think it’s about time that I revisited The Cruise Chronicles and talk about my experience with celebrating Christmas while on a cruise ship.
It’s actually pretty funny when I think about it. I can’t remember too much since it has officially been 3 years (6 years at the time of finally posting, sighhh…) now since the cruise but what I do remember is being bummed out that I would “miss” Christmas. I remember while decorating my Christmas tree, all I could think was – “too bad I won’t be here for Christmas”. I even remember announcing to my coworkers that I wouldn’t be here for Christmas and it’s my first Christmas away and not celebrating. For some reason, the thought never crossed my mind that I could still celebrate while away on vacation.
It also didn’t cross my mind to pack any costumes or holiday decorations. It wasn’t until getting onboard the ship and seeing all the decorations that I had that thought. I mean it was one thing to see the lobby and main area of the ship decorated but seeing the personalized decorations on other passengers’ doors definitely made me feel a way. It was beautiful to see though.

The tree in the center of the main lobby (I’ll assume that’s what it’s called) at the bottom of the staircase was stunning. I already had my plans of eventually having a mini photoshoot by it. There was always such a crowd around it, so it took a few days of me circling it to finally get some alone time for pics.

Then after my photoshoot, I took a few pictures of the parental unit as well.

Maybe the holidays had me feeling a little too sentimental but I remember looking around at everyone with their families and in their silly Christmas costumes with their funny hats and thinking how nice it was for all of us strangers to come together and celebrate the holidays. I spent either Christmas Eve or the actual night of Christmas at the Piano Bar where all of the guests received Christmas hats.
Please enjoy the rest of these pictures in which I no longer remember the context.😅😅

A beautiful end to a beautiful day at the Piano Bar with musical selections by Mr. Odane.
