This past week, I took a little trip out to Kent Falls State Park, one of Connecticut’s most beautiful spots for waterfalls and nature walks.

The waterfalls were absolutely stunning, with each level offering a different view that made me want to linger a little longer. I couldn’t resist taking plenty of photos, but what stood out most was just being surrounded by the sound of rushing water and the fresh late-summer air.

I wandered along the path, stopping at different lookout points to take in the scenery. The late summer air was crisp, and the sunlight shining through the trees gave everything a golden glow.

The park itself is a gem in the northwest corner of Connecticut, tucked right into the Litchfield Hills. The main waterfall drops nearly 250 feet in a series of cascades, making it one of the tallest in the state. There’s a quarter-mile trail that follows the falls, with several lookout points where you can stop, catch your breath, and take in the views.

Kent Falls is one of those places that reminds me why I love exploring New England—peaceful, refreshing, and always picture-worthy.
