The Cruise Chronicles: St. Thomas, USVI

By the time I got ready and headed up to Lido deck for breakfast, my dad and his friend had already ventured off to explore the island and left us ladies behind. So we took our time and enjoyed our breakfast while also taking in the view from the upper deck.

When my dad returned, he showed us pictures that he took from a hill top. Apparently they caught a taxi and went up in the hills to a supermarket. They also found someone who was selling coconut nearby and got some.

Later on in the morning, I caught up with the group and stopped at a bar and had a drink along with some coconut water.

Coconut water is definitely one of my favorite drinks and it often saddens me that there are people in this world who have never tasted it. Even worse, there are people who have only had the atrocious bottled/canned kind that they sell in the supermarkets. I have yet to try one that actually tastes decent (no offense to said companies). I’ve seen a comment online where someone said coconut water tastes like dirty water and it kind of upset me because I know in my heart they didn’t drink it straight from the coconut.

We didn’t make it too far from the ship on this stop. Mainly because it was the first stop and some of the people in our group were afraid of getting lost and ultimately left behind.

So instead, we walked around the shopping area and took a few pictures.

I saw this little guy in the window

After spending a good amount of time exploring the shopping area and taking pictures, we decided it was time to head back to the ship and check out what activities they were having onboard.

  1. Just keeping up with your blog. I would highly recommend to you the 14 day cruise we are beginning on Friday on Celebrity through the Eastern Caribbean. Imagine docking at 8 islands for an affordable price and no COVID tests required.

    1. A 14 day cruise sounds amazing! I just glanced at your page after seeing this comment and I am happy to see that you’ve already posted about it. I’m interested in seeing what the experience was like for you. From the pictures that I saw, it looks like a great time!

      1. I wrote four blogs on this experience. The last one about weight loss was my favorite even though it lacked photos. Thanks for the attention.
