Last Day in Amsterdam.

Although our trip was packed full of excitement, I have to say my last day in Amsterdam was my absolute favorite. It was super chill and relaxing. Sometimes I tend to get overwhelmed when following a tight schedule, or any schedule at all. It really depends on my familiarity with the area.

We spent the morning relaxing and packing away our belongings. Right around noon, we headed out into the city and went on the lovers cruise. No we were not lovers, but that was the only cruise available last-minute. It was nice and relaxing.

During the tour, we were given earphones and had the option of choosing different language translations.   I spent most of the time taking photos and videos while listening to the recordings.

After the cruise, we walked around for a bit and just wanted to be in the moment and enjoy our last day.

We stumbled unto a cheese shop and decided to check it out.

I don’t think I’ve ever been in a room with such a variety of different cheeses.

I tried a sample of almost everything and ended up going with the Pesto, Smoked Gouda, and Hot Pepper.

I probably would have bought more but I had already bought so much from gift shops and was concerned about overpacking my carry-on.

The rest of the day was spent aimlessly walking around and taking photos.

The following morning i did my final packing and headed to the airport.

Until next time, Amsterdam. 🙂

Hopefully I will be able to go beyond Amsterdam and explore other cities in The Netherlands during my next visit.

  1. Great blog posts about Amsterdam..!!
Thank you Madam for sharing.. 🙂
I see the cheese in these shops packed as quite heavy rinds weighing several kgs. Do they sell cheese in smaller quantities, say 500 g? Missed buying cheese in the Netherlands.
Hopefully during my next visit, I will focus on cheese.. 🙂

    • Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it ! Honestly I was so focused on tasting the samples that I never looked up at the large wheels on the top shelves haha. They did have smaller packages on the bottom shelves and if I’m not mistaken I believe they offered to cut smaller pieces. The ones I ended up buying were already packaged in smaller sizes though. But they were so good. I’ll be headed right back to the cheese company when I revisit.
