Back in the spring of 2023, I visited historic Main Street in Old Wethersfield, Connecticut to experience: Bicycles on Main, a month-long public art event that turns ordinary bikes into colorful, creative displays lining the street.

I strolled down Main Street and was charmed by the sight so many uniquely decorated bicycles—each one reflecting someone’s personality, imagination, or local business pride.

Some featured bright paint jobs and playful designs, others were whimsical or themed, and each had its own flair. It was like a mini art gallery on wheels!

It was definitely such a fun activity to do while out on a beautiful Spring day!
